This Project is thanks to a fellow named Wallie Riddle via the Chip Ahoy website, www.chipford.com . I actually build a much bigger version that extends from the bow to the stern. I built a frame simular to the one above and it worked great. However, last winter I resorted to shrink wrapping the Christopher-Jin. It only cost $100. That's about twice the amount it cost me for a tarp every year. It does not seem to matter how careful I was, there was always some point that would chafe through the tarp.
